About Me

My family and I have lived in Olivette for over 11 years. We have two children, James and Abby, who are students at Ladue High School. I am an active volunteer and community leader in Olivette and the Ladue School District. My passions include environmental sustainability, urban planning, and community development.

I am committed to the community and focused on creating a brighter future for all of Olivette.

Campaign Priorities

I care deeply about Olivette’s future and am committed to building a diverse, vibrant, and sustainable community. My campaign priorities are shaped by conversations with residents and experiences in the community.

As your city council member, I plan to:

Ensure that local government is efficient and responsive

• Make sure City Council listens and responds to Olivette residents

• Promote economic growth that benefits and supports our community

• Advance creative solutions and forward-thinking planning

Support community-focused development

• Ensure development does not disrupt or overshadow existing neighborhoods

• Attract small businesses that will enhance the Olivette community

• Improve the look and feel of the Olive corridor

Increase sustainability throughout Olivette

• Reduce energy, emissions, and waste in city buildings and operations

• Explore innovative opportunities to improve sustainability

• Provide education and resources to residents and businesses

Strengthen relationships with community partners

• Increase collaboration and communication with the Ladue School District

• Ensure new developments do not overwhelm or overburden Ladue Schools

• Enhance and develop partnerships with local businesses and community organizations

Kate is someone we can count on to do the work, to carefully consider all the issues and to cast her vote honestly for what she believes is best for our community. As the founder of the group Olivette Sustainability Advocates and through her stewardship, this group is making a difference in presenting workshops on a wide variety of environmental issues of interest and benefit to residents and homeowners alike. I called Kate for advice on behalf of an Olivette friend who had an issue with parking lot lighting intruding on their home, and she knew immediately who they should call in our City government to check on ordinances and that led to an immediate resolution of the problem. There is no one I would consider to be more dedicated, committed and effective in serving our needs as we look to the future in Olivette. Casting a vote for Kate is casting a vote for Olivette.
